Cross-border Payments Platform

Payment platform development project for a global financial company. We built a high-availability and secure payment infrastructure that complies with complex regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.

This project integrated payment services across 8 global regions (Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, UK, Germany, France, USA, Canada) and built a system that fully complies with financial regulations including PCI DSS, GDPR, and SOX.

Technically, we adopted a microservices architecture, implementing each payment function as an independent service. Kubernetes auto-scaling capabilities increased peak processing capacity by 10x compared to traditional systems.

From a security perspective, we implemented end-to-end encryption, multi-factor authentication, and real-time fraud detection systems. We achieved PCI DSS Level 1 certification, ensuring financial institution-level security.

Operationally, we established 24/7/365 monitoring systems. We reduced Mean Time To Recovery (MTTR) to under 2 minutes and achieved 99.99% system uptime.

Business results include a 99.92% payment success rate (exceeding industry average of 97.5%), reduced processing time to an average of 120ms, and achieved 35% reduction in operational costs.
